The “Back in Overdrive Tour” with Bachman-Turner Overdrive, April Wine, and Headpins was all about reminiscing.

Members of April Wine addressed the crowd at Brandt Centre with the statement “we want you to feel like you’re 16 again.” And for a few hours, everyone was.

The show delivered a powerhouse lineup of hits from beginning to end starting with Headpins. They blew in with a blistering set of music and had the crowd singing to every song, earning a standing ovation.

April Wine rolled in carrying a Canadian flag and had the crowd on it’s feet dancing to hits that sent many traveling back to their youth, cruising up and down Albert Street with music blasting through rolled down windows.

Headliners Bachman-Turner Overdrive with Randy Bachman and his son Tal played what amounted to a greatest hits album. Songs from The Guess Who along with all the well-known BTO songs filled the Brandt Centre through the night. Bachman showcased why he is a legend on the guitar and a major influence on musicians not only in Canada, but around the world.

It was another opportunity to create memories and relive some old ones.
