Viterra International Trade Centre; Designed with Community in Mind

In 2017 REAL District became one of the largest interconnected event complexes in Canada. Visitors to REAL District walk almost the entire district without being hampered by the weather.

When the Viterra International Trade Centre opened to the city of Regina and surrounding community in November of that year, it connected the entire District, except for Mosaic Stadium.

Prior to construction, events and functions were held in barns and buildings as old as 115 years. Demolition began in 2016 on those decades-old buildings to make way for the 150,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose facility that joins most of REAL District.

When the facility opened in November 2017, it made the REAL District one of the largest interconnected event complexes of its kind in Canada. The Viterra International Trade Centre is the perfect location for trade and consumer shows, large meetings, catered events, and everything in between

It offers modern and flexible convention space making it the perfect location for trade and consumer shows, large meetings, catered events, sports events, and everything in between.

The doors have opened to hundreds of events. There have been holiday tradeshows, RV shows, marine shows, volleyball tournaments, and more.

One of REAL’s signature events is Canada’s Farm Show Regina, SK, presented by Viterra. This annual show welcomes the agricultural industry from countries around the world. Farmers and industry professionals attend discussions about farming, see the newest innovations, take part in the latest in education, and learn ways to collaborate to ensure a successful operation from planting to harvest.

For three years in late January and early February, the Viterra International Trade Centre was home to GLOW. This event was part of Regina’s Frost Festival and lit up the interior of the building with hundreds of thousands of lights. Families could stroll through themed light displays, take photos, and partake in activities all inside the Trade Centre.

Each November, the Canadian Western Agribition moves in for their six-day show and welcomes the world. Through all three halls you can see sales, shows, and more. A high caliber rodeo is also part of the event and sells out each year as participants from across the America’s take part.

The Montana’s Brier was held at REAL District in March 2024. While the games themselves took part in the adjoining Brandt Centre, Halls A, B, and C were used for numerous events including the world-renowned Brier Patch. This massive ‘pub’ was a place for fans to gather, enjoy the games on big screen TVs, and catch some live music.

A facility that is as expansive and as interconnected as REAL is designed to bring our community together, conveniently under one exceptionally large roof.
