REAL Welcomes Canada!
It's National Tourism Week and REAL Welcomes the 2025 Futsal Canadian Championship
This is National Tourism Week, and REAL District is pleased to welcome visitors from across the nation for the 2025 Futsal Canadian Championship.
All 16 teams have made their way from across Canada to the Queen City for the event which is being held here for the first time in the city’s history. This exciting national tournament will start on April 10 with the finals on Sunday, April 13.
The men’s teams are FC Brazil Vancouver; Edmonton Rangers FC; Yorkton United FC; Winnipeg Pioneers FC; Whitehorse Yukon Selects FC; Rankin FC; Atlético Gatineau; and 9 de Octubre FC Toronto, who are the two-time defending champions.
The women’s teams are Native Indian FA Pacific FC; Calgary Impero FC; Saskatoon SK Impact FC; Winnipeg 1v1 Futbol Dreams; Whitehorse Yukon Selects FC; Iqaluit Prospects; Windsor Caboto SC; and Underdogs FC Bourassa.
Fans can watch all 32 games of this fast-paced sport for FREE thanks to FC Regina. Games will alternate between Brandt Centre and the Brunswick Steel Rink in the Co-operators Centre. The ability to move with ease between the two locations is an advantage REAL has over other facilities in Canada. The massive interconnected facility offers a location that is unique in Canada.
If the sport is new to you, it will be worthwhile to check out. Futsal is played indoors on a small court with five players to a side and they play two 20-minute halves. It features a sport-specific ball that does not bounce the same way as a traditional football bounces on grass or turf.
