Father’s Day gifts have evolved. Gone are the days of running into the department store to get dad a tie. Many gifts are now experiences.

Naveed Anderson and his father, Rogan, came to see Jim Jefferies perform in the Brandt Centre.

Not an unusual situation.

Usually.

Donned in matching Hawaiian-style shirts, they arrived at the arena from 1300 kilometers away. Home for them is Salmon Arm, British Columbia.

They’ve never been to Regina, or Saskatchewan for that matter.
